Keep your nails looking their best!
so you’ve just had your nails done, and they look amazing! but how do you keep them looking their best? by following the correct aftercare of course!
Hydration is Key:
Apply cuticle oil daily to keep nails and surrounding skin hydrated and flexible, which helps prevent lifting and chipping.
Consider using hand cream or lotion regularly, especially after washing hands.
Choose oils with antioxidants like apricot, sweet almond, or shea oil.
Protect Your Nails:
Wear gloves when washing dishes, cleaning, or gardening to shield your nails from harsh chemicals and water.
Avoid using your nails as tools, as this can lead to cracking or damage.
Wash hands thoroughly after contact with chlorine, insect repellent, or sunscreen.
Avoid certain skin staining products such as fake tan, hair dye, and certain cooking spices
Avoid Damaging Activities:
Minimize prolonged exposure to water, especially in the first 24 hours after application.
Avoid picking or peeling at the product, as this can damage your natural nails.
Refrain from filing or pushing back cuticles, as this can break the seal of the gel and lead to chipping.
Schedule Regular Maintenance:
Schedule regular infills or maintenance appointments every 3-4 weeks to keep your nails looking fresh and prevent lifting.
Follow any advice given by myself for maintenance and removal.
Be Careful with Heat:
Avoid intense heat in the first 24 hours after application, such as saunas, hot baths, or sunbeds.
